Movies & TV shows
This is a list of TV shows and Movies in no particular order that are near and dear to my heart. If they are here, I'm a big fan and think you should check them out!
Hot Fuzz
This is probably my all time favorite movie. The second in director Edgar Wrights "Cornetto Trilogy", Hot fuzz is a fantastic comedy, with amazing visual gags as well as spot on humor. I could probably quote this movie from start to end I've watched it so many times. Nick Frost and Simon Pegg have fantastic chemistry and energy together and theres a whole host of cast members that are pretty big in their own right. If you were to watch a single thing from my list, this would be the one to watch.
Scrubs
I grew up watching Scrubs on E4, It was one of the few shows the whole family didn't mind watching. I watched every season, even season nine (If you do watch this show, season nine is a myth don't look for it) And though there are some bits that can fall flat or didn't age well, it holds a lot of comfort for me. From the absurd jokes and daydreams of JD, to the heartbreaking drama and tragedy that comes about in some episodes, It's a show that I love, and can happily watch again and again.
Fallout
I know a lot of people that were worried when they announced that they were making a Fallout TV show. And they sort of had a right to be worried, between some previous attempts of Video game adaptations into movies and TV shows (Cough cough Halo TV show) and it being made by Amazon had me a bit worried too. But I shouldn't have worried. This show fucking rocks. Great cast, awesome story that stays true to the existing Fallout universe, lots of fun little references that are enjoyable if you love fallout, but aren't so distracting that they take away from the current scene. Even if you aren't a fallout fan, I recommend giving this show a watch.
Snatch
I watched this film pretty young, probably way too young to be watching a film like Snatch. A gangster film, following 3 main storylines that crisscross and intersect with each other. The stories woven incredibly well together, with certain things happening in one directly effecting and changing the course of one or both of the other stories. Fair warning, it is a very british film. Lots of silly slang and banter that may slip by someone not familiar with it, but well worth a watch if you can get past that.
In Bruges
In Bruges is a fantastic dark comedy, about two hitmen forced to lay low in a quiet city in Belgium after a job goes wrong. This movie is equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking. The back and forth between the two main characters is comedy gold and brings about so many quotable scenes that to list them all would be listing a third of the movies dialogue. The drama is just as impactful too, really delving into Guilt and remorse and whether someone can be redeemed after doing something truely awful. This is a great film, and one I go back to watch regularly.
